Instead of fluoride, a combination of enzymes and herbal extracts such as neem tree oil and peppermint oil are used. Instead of SLS, baking soda, a non-abrasive cleaner, is included in the ingredients. SunSmile Toothpaste contains no sugar derivatives, artificial colors, or artificial flavors, and it is naturally green with a clean mint flavor.
Because this formula is so concentrated you only need a fraction of the amount you use with other toothpastes, so one tube lasts a long time.
